Lea Michele is caught once again in the middle of a magazine controversy after her cover photo in the March issue of Cosmopolitan which has her donning a wardrobe with a very plunging neckline, revealing her cleavage for everyone to see has been pulled out the shelves of a Texan store for being provocative and after it garnered ragingly negative comments from parents whose children looked to Rachel Berry, Lea Michele’s “Glee” character, as a role model or inspiration.
Aside from the Texan store, website CocoPerez.com also reports that one Brookshires outlet have also pulled out the magazine from its stands but continues to sell it upon request from its customer service counter. Apparently, the magazine “wasn’t appropriate” to be freely seen by its customers.
Michele is no stranger to the controversy after her GQ photo shoot last year with “Glee” cast mates Diana Agron and Cory Monteith were also deemed as racy and inappropriate. A misrepresentation as many would feel, considering that the three portray the roles of high school misfits in a show that is almost universally considered as wholesome.
On a related topic, a month ago, Elton John’s family portrait with partner David Furnish and their newly born son Zachary graced the cover of a magazine which a store in Arkansas deemed as family unfriendly, thus it ended up with a “Family Shield” label.
