Glee Tour

Following a season full of rave reviews, along with assistance from “American Idol” for getting audiences in front of the television set, next fall Fox will be using the show to kick Tuesdays off. Moving “Glee” to another time slot is just one change being made by network programmers for next season. Four new comedies will also be launched, along with three dramas, and a shorter results show for “American Idol” launching mid season.

Time Magazine has named Lea Michele as one of 2010’s most influential 100 people. The actress plays Rachel Berry, the resident diva of McKinley High, on FOX’s hit series “Glee.” Olivia Newton-John, acknowledging the 24 year old’s status as a role model, paid tribute to Michele in Time Magazine. She noted that the Broadway veteran was inspiring young people for getting involved in school musical programs and urging communities to fund these programs.

Last Wednesday, Glee’s cast made an appearance on “The Oprah Show” as honored guests. Oprah joined the “Gleek” band wagon, dedicating an entire hour to a musical number and interviewing the cast along with other goodness behind the scenes. The famous students from Glee performed “Somebody to Love” in front of the fan filled audience. Even Oprah was bopping along with the newest sensation from Hollywood.
