Glee Tour

The show ‘Glee’ may have had a less stellar second season but the cast’s ‘Glee Live!’ tour is the exact opposite, at least that is the case across the pond.

For the tour’s weekend shows at the O2 Arena in London, a combined number of 66,000 ‘Gleeks’ attended, setting a new record for the famed English arena, after the show managed to sell out four times in a matter of two days.

As ‘Glee’ prepares for its new season this fall, major changes will take effect as last season’s breakout stars Darren Criss, who plays Warbler Blaine, and Chord Overstreet, who plays McKinley High transferee Sam Evans will be heading towards opposite casting directions for season three. Criss, whose rendition of Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ is the show’s biggest chart topper in season two, will be upgraded to series regular status, along with Harry Shum, Jr. who plays ‘other Asian’ Mike Chang.

FOX has just unveiled its fall schedule with the third season of ‘Glee’ kicking off the slate as it returns on air on September 20. But before that, it will first air the 30-minute season premiere of ‘COPS’ at 8 PM, immediately followed by an encore at 8:30 PM, all happening on September 10.

Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend’s Malibu love nest officially belongs now to Ryan Murphy, creator and executive producer of the FOX hit series ‘Glee’, and director of the 2010 Julia Roberts summer flick, ‘Eat, Pray, Love’.

Murphy bought the highly sought-after beach property for almost twice its original value. Theron and Townsend purchased the ocean front estate for $3.5 million from Steven Weber back in 2003. The 45-year old writer and director, also of ‘Nip/Tuck’ fame, got it for $6.562 million, a million dollars lower than its original asking price of $7.5 million.
