Waiting for “Glee” to return over the last several month has been quite trying. Now news regarding Neil Patrick Harris, an upcoming guest star, is making us even more excited about the McKinley High gang returning. According to EW.com, Neil Patrick Harris will be playing Bryan Adam, who is an ex member of the glee club and the arch nemesis of Will Schuester (payed by Matthew Morrison).

Bryan re-enters Will’s life as one of the school’s new board members in a Joss Whedon directed episode. A source has revealed that Neil Patrick Harris will be tapping into Barney Stinson, his womanizing character from “How I Met Your Mother.” The flashback scenes will reveal that it was him getting the solos and girls, not Will.

The rivalry between the two men continues to grow as Bryan plots to have the art funding for the school cut since the glee club is what ruined his life expectations. He feels that the show choir made a ruins of his life, making him think he could really be a star when all he could really do was be able to book Carnival cruises. Now Bryan is out for vengeance, which climaxes with a Morrison and Harris duet. There’s still no word on which song they will sing. However it can be confirmed that there will be lots of adorable to attempt to fit onto the small screen.

On Tuesday at 9 p.m. On April 13, “Glee” will be returning to Fox. The episode will Neil Patrick Harris is scheduled to be aired in May.
