Cory Monteith has discovered an additional way to reach his young audience: starring in a movie with a Disney Channel actress. “Entertainment Tonight” has reported that the actor from “Glee” will be joining Selena Gomez in “Monte Carlo,” an upcoming film.

Monteith will be playing the boyfriend of Selena, who in order to dedicate his love is willing to fly overseas to her. In the meantime Gomez will be playing a girl who is mistaken wrongfully to be a socialite. She gets wrapped up ultimately with a case involving a missing necklace.

Although the movie may not be ground breaking entertainment exactly, it does provide Monteith with an additional opportunity for establishing himself as someone other than Finn, his “Glee” character. Although “Glee” fans love him, the character does have an ending. People do graduate out of high school.
