Entertainment Weekly has reported that the cast of Glee, the popular TV show on Fox, have been invited to the White House to perform at the annual easter egg hunt held there.
E! Online published cast member tweets from Amber Riley, Naya Rivera and Kevin McHale who also said they had been invited by first lady Michelle Obama to the Washington, D.C. holiday event to be held on April 5.
Reportedly, the first family, especially daughters Sasha and Malia, are big fans of Glee. The show is on a break of four months currently. Last month the show won four awards at the Golden Globes ceremony. Glee will be returning to television in April.
First Lady Obama has kept busy with exposing children to music inside the White House. School children this month were invited to the White House for two musical events. One was a musical program that served to inspire the civil rights movement. The other was a preview performance given by Harry Connick Jr. along with other musician at Sunday night’s Governors’ Ball. An array of country music singers last year performed for school children at the White House.
